The Funny Thing About Facebook

I love Facebook.  I rarely post on there, but I still find it entertaining.  Facebook has made it exceptionally easy for most people to become liars.  Maybe they were liars before and are able to better hone their liar capabilities, or maybe there were honest people who decided lying is way more fun and makes them look better.  Either way, Facebook is filled with 'em.  I especially love the people that you know in real life on a daily basis and their life is way more awesome on Facebook than it really is in real life.  It's like they forget they are real people, with real friends, and as soon as they log on they get to be whoever they want with the worlds most interesting life, the greatest kids, and the best husband that they are just oh so in love with.  That actually could be the truth for some people.  But probably not.  It brings out a pretty creative side in people.  They can pretty much spin whatever they want into something that sounds awesome.  For Example... my house looks like this today...

Because I have children.  Also i'm a little bit lazy.  However, because i'm also smart, I can make it seem like i'm just a really fun and cool mom by doing this....
Facebook Status Update: OMG!!  Just had the best time ever with my kids playing "Lava".  Remember that game where you pretend the floor is lava and you cant touch it!  I love teaching them games I used to play when I was young.  So amazing!  #bestmomever #lava #gamesweusedtoplay #lovemylittlefamily

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.  The comments about how fun it looks and what a great childhood i'm affording my children will roll in and i'll be validated.  Then i'll go back to scrolling Pinterest and call it day.  Success.

Another Day Another Blog

Well, it appears to be that time of life again. Time to add another blog to the roster. I mean, why not? I feel I have a vast wealth of knowledge, experience, and entertainment to share with the world and it's blog readers. I have nothing better to do. I'm gonna stick with this one though. I'll write on it everyday and talk about the interesting stuff that's going on in my life. I'll write about my awesome kids and husband. How to be an awesome wife and a really fun mom. Decorating ideas and house remodel projects that we are goingcould be going to, will never do. Things around the web that I find and like. Household organization and cleaning tips(haha, who am I kidding?). I'll probably even have some really good recipe ideas(that I find, slightly alter, and claim to be my own). This blog is going to work for sure. No, really this time!

*Disclaimer for my mother and other family members: I am in no way making a claim that this is a blog, that I will write on this blog, that this blog will contain any content that may be useful or entertaining in any way shape or form, or that I am in anyway qualified to own such a blog. In the event that I do not write in said blog, it does not become fodder for one more thing that I said I would do and never did.

About Me and My Family

This is me.
Sweet pic, eh.  I just took it at my brothers college graduation.  Seemed like the cool thing to do.

I’m a 29 year old that’s technically not a true statement but my birthday is in a few weeks so I’m gonna roll with it mom of two and wife to one.  Lover of Jesus.  Dreamer of all things, do-er of none.   I wish I could live/work/breathe in a giant room of books for the rest of my life.  Relatively lazy.  I don’t like things that take more than right.freaking.now to happen.  That’s a bad thing.  I like long walks on the beach, dining under the stars in the moonlight, salsa dancing, the wilderness…  Whoops, this isn’t Match.com.  The jist of it is, I like things and doing things, but only when I want to.

My Huband.  I'm ashamed to say that I can't find a picture of him.  I should take more.  I'll add that to my list of things that I should do. The man that I’ve loved for almost 9 years and been married to just short of 8.  My polar opposite, and many, okay everyone, in my family believes him to be a saint.  That apparently has something to do with his ability, like he had a choice, to put up with me for this long.  Whatever, but I digress.  Together we have created two of the greatest human beings to ever walk on this planet.

This.

This is Brody.  Our first born, and currently 5 year old son.  Let me tell you a little bit about this boy.  Most of what you need to know can be summed up in one word.  Awesome.  He is Awesome.  He also doesn't wear any clothes.  He reminds me of what happens when you drop a Mentos candy into soda, but the lid doesn’t come off and all that reaction is just going crazy on the inside.  That’s my boy.  Too smart for my own good, and a little on the odd side, but in the good way.  He’s beyond logical, and slightly obsessive.  If he hadn’t been created in, and birthed from my own body, I would believe he was created by the government or some secret laboratory to test what happens when you put so much awesome in a small little space.  Alas, I am sure that he is just a regular human.  Unless he was switched in the hospital, but that doesn’t seem likely because he was a pretty distinct looking newborn and I think I would have noticed.  He also loves cheese, which is bad because he is quite sensitive to dairy.

My Sweetest Sophie.  Aka Beebs.  Our almost 2 year old darling.  Look at that face, those eyes, that hair!  Oh, what a sweet babe is she.  If by sweet you mean she has the ability to make even the strongest, most emotionally stable person alive crumble to their knees and beg for mercy from her fits of “rage against the world” that are not too frequent but enough that you will never forget when her wrath has been released upon you.  Oh yes, the sweetest of sweet.  She loves to give momma cuddles, and makes the cutest “MMM-UAH” noise when she gives you kisses.  Not that big of a fan of her dad, or many people for that matter.  A not quite 2 year old child with the attitude of a 14 year old, and the desire to have the independence of a person raised by wolves in the wilderness.  She loves shoes, baby dolls, anything girly, other children, anything that looks incredibly dangerous, her mama, and Mickey Mouse.
